AN ACT CONCERNING THE MINIMUM AGE AND PENALTY FOR ILLEGAL SALES OF ELECTRONIC NICOTINE DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND VAPOR PRODUCTS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to (1) raise the minimum age 1 to purchase electronic nicotine delivery systems and vapor products to 2 twenty-one, (2) increase the penalty to any seller, seller's agent or 3 employee who sells to any person under the age of twenty-one an 4 electronic nicotine delivery system or vapor product to six hundred 5 dollars for the first offense, one thousand fifty dollars for the second 6 offense and one thousand five hundred dollars for each subsequent 7 offense, and (3) require any individual who uses electronic nicotine 8 delivery systems or vapor products to disclose such use to their health 9 insurance provider. 10 Statement of Purpose: To discourage the use and illegal sale of electronic nicotine delivery systems and vapor products.
