AN ACT CONCERNING ACCESS TO A COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL
COUNSELING PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to require the State 1
Board of Education, in consultation with the Connecticut School 2
Counselor Association, to adopt guidelines and recommendations that 3
ensure that all students have access to a comprehensive school 4
counseling program that includes manufacturing, trade, academic, 5
social-emotional and post-secondary and career readiness 6
programming delivered by a certified school counselor who has 7
received adequate training. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To provide students with access to a comprehensive school counseling
program.
