AN ACT CONCERNING A COMPUTER CODING CURRICULUM. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to require (1) the 1 
development of a state-wide plan for computer science instruction for 2 
grades kindergarten to twelve, inclusive, on or before January 1, 2020, 3 
(2) that programs of teacher preparation include a computer science 4 
component, (3) that, for the school year commencing July 1, 2022, and 5 
each school year thereafter, all high schools in the state offer a 6 
computer science class, and (4) that a credit earned for a computer 7 
science class counts towards a core graduation requirement. 8 
Statement of Purpose:   
To create a state-wide plan for the implementation of a computer 
coding curriculum.
