1818 AN ACT CONCERNING TRAFFIC STOP REPORTS.
1919 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2020 Assembly convened:

2222 That section 54-1m of the general statutes be amended to require a 1
2323 police officer to fill out each traffic stop report in duplicate so the 2
2424 motorist may immediately receive a copy of such form from the officer, 3
2525 to provide that, if the report is entered into an electronic data collection 4
2626 system, a copy shall be available immediately to the motorist and to 5
2727 prohibit police officers from inquiring about a person's immigration 6
2828 status as part of a traffic stop. 7
2929 Statement of Purpose:
3030 To require police officers to provide motorists with a copy of a traffic
3131 stop report immediately upon completion or entry of the report and to
3232 prohibit police officers from inquiring about a person's immigration
3333 status as part of a traffic stop.
