AN ACT CONCERNING TRAFFIC STOP REPORTS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That section 54-1m of the general statutes be amended to require a 1 
police officer to fill out each traffic stop report in duplicate so the 2 
motorist may immediately receive a copy of such form from the officer, 3 
to provide that, if the report is entered into an electronic data collection 4 
system, a copy shall be available immediately to the motorist and to 5 
prohibit police officers from inquiring about a person's immigration 6 
status as part of a traffic stop.  7 
Statement of Purpose:   
To require police officers to provide motorists with a copy of a traffic 
stop report immediately upon completion or entry of the report and to 
prohibit police officers from inquiring about a person's immigration 
status as part of a traffic stop.
