AN ACT CONCERNING A PERMIT FOR CERTAIN COMMERCIAL 
TRUCKS THAT HAUL AGGREGATE MATERIALS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner 1 
of Transportation to create a new transportation permit for commercial 2 
trucks that haul aggregate materials not exceeding one hundred 3 
thousand pounds for a distance not to exceed one-half mile and that do 4 
not cross state or local bridges and to ensure that such permit costs no 5 
more than ten times the cost of a daily overload permit. 6 
Statement of Purpose:   
To create an opportunity for Connecticut businesses to remain 
competitive by establishing a new transportation permit for certain 
commercial trucks that haul aggregate materials.
