1918 AN ACT CONCERNING TRANSPORTATION PROJECT
2019 PRIORITIZATION.
2120 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2221 Assembly convened:

24-Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) (a) Not later than December 1
25-1, 2019, and annually thereafter, the Commissioner of Transportation 2
26-shall report, in accordance with section 11-4a of the general statutes, to 3
27-the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having 4
28-cognizance of matters relating to transportation, the status of 5
29-significant transportation projects in any phase of construction, design 6
30-or planning. This report shall be referred to as the "Transportation 7
31-Project Priority Report". 8
32-(b) The Transportation Project Priority Report shall: (1) Identify 9
33-twenty transportation projects that are a priority to the Department of 10
34-Transportation and for each identified transportation project, include 11
35-(A) whether such project is scheduled to be substantially complete by 12
36-the originally anticipated completion date, (B) whether the cost of such 13
37-project is under the budgeted amount and if not, identify the amount 14
38-that exceeds the budgeted amount and explain why such project 15
39-exceeded the budgeted amount, and (C) whether such project was 16

45-subject to a change order and if so, identify the cost of the change order 17
46-and explain the reason for the change order; (2) identify all 18
47-transportation projects that are at the stage where construction can 19
48-begin but such transportation projects are not funded; (3) identify all 20
49-transportation projects for which bonds have been authorized but 21
50-construction has not started and for each such transportation project, 22
51-identify (A) the date such bonds were authorized by the General 23
52-Assembly, (B) the reasons construction has not started, and (C) the 24
53-date construction is anticipated to start; and (4) identify all 25
54-transportation projects that are anticipated to become a priority based 26
55-on use, the demands of traffic and the integrity of the mode of 27
56-transportation. 28
57-This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
58-sections:
