AN ACT CONCERNING WORKFORCE HOUSING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Department of Housing shall, 1
within available appropriations, conduct a study on methods to 2
increase housing options for municipal employees who wish to reside 3
in the municipalities in which they work. Not later than January 1, 4
2020, the Commissioner of Housing shall submit a report on the results 5
of such study, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the 6
general statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General 7
Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to housing. Such 8
report shall include recommendations on methods to increase such 9
housing options and any legislation necessary to implement such 10
recommendations. 11
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
