1319 AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF ISSUES RELATING TO EARLY
1420 COLLEGE AND DUAL ENR OLLMENT PROGRAMS.
1521 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1622 Assembly convened:

1824 Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Department of Education shall 1
1925 conduct a study of issues relating to student enrollment in, and 2
2026 graduation from, middle college programs, early college high school 3
2127 and Connecticut Early College Opportunity programs, as those terms 4
2228 are defined in section 31-11ff of the general statutes, and dual 5
2329 enrollment programs. Such study shall include, but need not be 6
24-limited to, a review of how data relating to student enrollment in and 7
25-graduation from such programs is being reported by local and regional 8
26-boards of education and collected in the state-wide public school 9
27-information system pursuant to section 10-10a of the general statutes, 10
28-including whether such data concerning graduation from such 11
29-programs can be segregated at the school and district level from the 12
30-total graduation data at the school and district level. Not later than 13
31-January 1, 2020, the department shall submit a report on its findings 14
32-and any recommendations for legislation to the joint standing 15
33-committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters 16
34-relating to education, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-17
