1419 AN ACT CONCERNING TH E AVAILABILITY OF THE REAL ESTATE
1520 LICENSING CURRICULUM FOR USE IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
1621 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1722 Assembly convened:

1924 Section 1. Subsection (d) of section 10-16b of the general statutes is 1
2025 repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July 2
2126 1, 2019): 3
2227 (d) The State Board of Education shall make available curriculum 4
2328 materials and such other materials as may assist local and regional 5
2429 boards of education in developing instructional programs pursuant to 6
2530 this section. The State Board of Education, within available 7
2631 appropriations and utilizing available resource materials, shall assist 8
2732 and encourage local and regional boards of education to include: (1) 9
2833 Holocaust and genocide education and awareness; (2) the historical 10
2934 events surrounding the Great Famine in Ireland; (3) African-American 11
3035 history; (4) Puerto Rican history; (5) Native American history; (6) 12
3136 personal financial management, including, but not limited to, financial 13
3237 literacy as developed in the plan provided under section 10-16pp; (7) 14
33-training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of automatic 15

4448 development of the American and world economies; (9) climate 20
4549 change consistent with the Next Generation Science Standards; (10) 21
4650 topics approved by the state board upon the request of local or 22
4751 regional boards of education as part of the program of instruction 23
4852 offered pursuant to subsection (a) of this section; [and] (11) instruction 24
49-relating to the Safe Haven Act, sections 17a-57 to 17a-61, inclusive; and 25
50-(12) the principles and practices of real estate. The Department of 26
51-Energy and Environmental Protection shall be available to each local 27
52-and regional board of education for the development of curriculum on 28
