1419 AN ACT PROVIDING IMMUNITY FROM CIVIL LIABILITY TO A
1520 PHYSICIAN WHO ACCOMP ANIES AND ASSISTS A STATE,
1621 REGIONAL OR MUNICIPA L SWAT TEAM.
1722 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2025 Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2019) Any person licensed to 1
2126 practice medicine and surgery under the provisions of chapter 370 of 2
2227 the general statutes, who, voluntarily and gratuitously and other than 3
2328 in the course of such person's employment or practice, renders 4
2429 emergency medical assistance in connection with the law enforcement 5
2530 duties of a state, regional or municipal special weapons and tactics 6
2631 team, shall not be liable to any person assisted for civil damages for 7
2732 any personal injuries that result from acts or omissions by such 8
28-licensed person in rendering emergency medical assistance, which 9
29-may constitute ordinary negligence. The immunity provided in this 10
30-section shall not apply to acts or omissions constituting gross, wilful or 11
