20	19		AN ACT ESTABLISHING A CYBER TECHNOLOGY COMPETITI ON
21	20		FOR CERTAIN STUDENTS .
22	21		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
23	22		Assembly convened:

25	24		Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2019) (a) The Military 1
26	25		Department shall establish, within available appropriations, a cyber 2
27	26		technology competition for students who are attending a secondary 3
28	27		school program of education in this state. Such cyber technology 4
29	28		competition shall be held for the purpose of encouraging such students 5
30	29		to collaborate with government agencies and private industry to 6
31	30		strengthen and secure information systems. Such cyber technology 7
32	31		competition shall be held each year at the State Armory in Hartford. 8
33	32		The Military Department shall promote such cyber technology 9
34	33		competition with outreach to school districts in this state. 10
35	34		(b) The Military Department shall establish rules and guidelines for 11
36	35		the implementation of the cyber technology competition described in 12
37	36		subsection (a) of this act. Such rules and guidelines shall be posted 13
