20	20		AN ACT CONCERNING TE CHNICAL CHANGES TO A
21	21		TRANSPORTATION STATU TE.
22	22		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
23	23		Assembly convened:

25	25		Section 1. Section 15-74b of the general statutes is repealed and the 1
26	26		following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective from passage): 2
27	27		(a) No public service company shall construct or maintain any 3
28	28		overhead line or facility within the limits of a clear zone. 4
29	29		(b) (1) Immediately upon July 6, 1971, the executive director shall 5
30	30		establish clear zones, in accordance with regulations adopted by the 6
31	31		executive director, for all public airport runways, and shall establish a 7
32	32		list of priorities for the abatement or correction of encroachments 8
33	33		thereon by public service companies. (2) Subject to the availability of 9
34	34		funds, the executive director shall, from time to time, order the 10
35	35		relocation, removal or such other appropriate corrective action as the 11
36	36		executive director deems necessary to abate or correct such 12
37	37		encroachments on clear zones. 13

45	44		established clear zone, the executive director shall reimburse the 15
46	45		owner public service company for the cost of relocation, removal or 16
47	46		other corrective measures approved by the executive director. Funds 17
48	47		required for the implementation of this section shall be appropriated 18
49	48		from existing and future appropriations for state aid to airports in 19
50	49		accordance with procedures adopted by the authority pursuant to 20
51	50		section 1-121. 21
