| 14 | 14 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General |

| 15 | 15 | | Assembly convened: |

| 17 | 17 | | Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2019) The Commissioner of Consumer 1 |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Protection shall study standards and methods used at quarries for the 2 |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | testing of concrete aggregate for the presence of pyrrhotite. Such study 3 |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | shall include, but need not be limited to, an evaluation of standards 4 |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | and methods published by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, 5 |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | National Institute of Standards and Technology and ASTM 6 |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | International. Not later than January 1, 2020, the Commissioner of 7 |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Consumer Protection shall submit a report, in accordance with the 8 |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing 9 |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters 10 |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | relating to insurance and planning and development. Such report shall 11 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | include, but need not be limited to, the findings of such study and any 12 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | recommendations for legislation. 13 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following |
|---|
