1212 AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY OF STANDARDS AN D METHODS FOR
1313 PYRRHOTITE TESTING A T QUARRIES.
1414 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1515 Assembly convened:

1717 Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2019) The Commissioner of Consumer 1
1818 Protection shall study standards and methods used at quarries for the 2
1919 testing of concrete aggregate for the presence of pyrrhotite. Such study 3
2020 shall include, but need not be limited to, an evaluation of standards 4
2121 and methods published by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, 5
2222 National Institute of Standards and Technology and ASTM 6
2323 International. Not later than January 1, 2020, the Commissioner of 7
2424 Consumer Protection shall submit a report, in accordance with the 8
2525 provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing 9
2626 committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters 10
2727 relating to insurance and planning and development. Such report shall 11
2828 include, but need not be limited to, the findings of such study and any 12
2929 recommendations for legislation. 13
3030 This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
