14	20		AN ACT CONCERNING TH E CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN PARCELS
15	21		OF STATE LAND IN THE TOWN OF CHESHIRE.
16	22		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
17	23		Assembly convened:

19	25		Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) Notwithstanding any provision 1
20	26		of the general statutes, the Commissioner of Transportation shall 2
21	27		convey to the town of Cheshire three parcels of land located in the 3
22	28		town of Cheshire at a cost equal to the administrative costs of making 4
23	29		such conveyance. The first parcel of land has an area of approximately 5
24	30		3.59 acres and is identified as Lot 31 on town of Cheshire Tax 6
25	31		Assessor's Map 4. The second parcel of land has an area of 7
26	32		approximately 0.88 acre and is identified as Lot 32 on town of Cheshire 8
27	33		Tax Assessor's Map 4. The third parcel of land has an area of 9
28	34		approximately 43.6 acres and is identified as Lot 33 on town of 10
29	35		Cheshire Tax Assessor's Map 4. The conveyance of said parcels shall be 11
30	36		subject to the approval of the State Properties Review Board. 12
31		-	(b) The town of Cheshire shall sell said parcels of land for economic 13
32		-	development purposes. If the town does not sell said parcels for 14
33		-	economic development purposes within five years after the 15
34		-	conveyance, the parcels shall revert to the state of Connecticut. Any 16
35		-	sale of said parcels shall be made at a cost equal to the fair market 17
36		-	value of said parcels. Any funds received by the town of Cheshire from 18
37		-	a sale in accordance with this subsection shall be transferred to the 19 Substitute Bill No. 1123
	37	+	(b) The town of Cheshire shall use said parcels of land for economic 13

44		-	State Treasurer for deposit in the Special Transportation Fund. 20
45		-	(c) The State Properties Review Board shall complete its review of 21
46		-	the conveyance of said parcels of land not later than thirty days after it 22
47		-	receives a proposed agreement from the Department of 23
48		-	Transportation. The land shall remain under the care and control of 24
49		-	said department until a conveyance is made in accordance with the 25
50		-	provisions of this section. The State Treasurer shall execute and deliver 26
51		-	any deed or instrument necessary for a conveyance under this section, 27
52		-	which deed or instrument shall include provisions to carry out the 28
53		-	purposes of subsection (b) of this section. The Commissioner of 29
54		-	Transportation shall have the sole responsibility for all other incidents 30
55		-	of such conveyance. 31

	45	+	(2) Does not retain ownership of all of said parcels; or 16
	46	+	(3) Leases all or any portion of said parcels, 17
	47	+	the parcels shall revert to the state of Connecticut. 18
