23 | 23 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General |
---|
24 | 24 | | Assembly convened: |
---|

26 | 26 | | Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) Notwithstanding any provision 1 |
---|
27 | 27 | | of the general statutes, the Commissioner of Children and Families 2 |
---|
28 | 28 | | shall convey to the town of East Windsor a parcel of land located in the 3 |
---|
29 | 29 | | town of East Windsor and any improvements on said parcel at a cost 4 |
---|
30 | 30 | | equal to the administrative costs of making such conveyance. Said 5 |
---|
31 | 31 | | parcel of land has an area of approximately 24.45 acres, is located at 36 6 |
---|
32 | 32 | | Gardner Street and is identified as "Lot 34 in Block 4" on town of East 7 |
---|
33 | 33 | | Windsor Tax Assessor's Map 111. The conveyance shall be subject to 8 |
---|
34 | 34 | | the approval of the State Properties Review Board. 9 |
---|
35 | 35 | | (b) The town of East Windsor shall use said parcel of land and 10 |
---|
36 | 36 | | improvements for the purpose of creating a municipal services 11 |
---|
37 | 37 | | complex. If the town of East Windsor: 12 |
---|
38 | 38 | | (1) Does not use said parcel and improvements for said purpose; 13 Raised Bill No. 1124 |

46 | 46 | | (3) Leases all or any portion of said parcel and improvements, 16 |

47 | 47 | | the parcel and improvements shall revert to the state of Connecticut. 17 |

48 | 48 | | (c) The State Properties Review Board shall complete its review of 18 |
---|
49 | 49 | | the conveyance of said parcel of land and improvements not later than 19 |
---|
50 | 50 | | thirty days after it receives a proposed agreement from the 20 |
---|
51 | 51 | | Department of Children and Families. The land and improvements 21 |
---|
52 | 52 | | shall remain under the care and control of said department until a 22 |
---|
53 | 53 | | conveyance is made in accordance with the provisions of this section. 23 |
---|
54 | 54 | | The State Treasurer shall execute and deliver any deed or instrument 24 |
---|
55 | 55 | | necessary for a conveyance under this section, which deed or 25 |
---|
56 | 56 | | instrument shall include provisions to carry out the purposes of 26 |
---|
57 | 57 | | subsection (b) of this section. The Commissioner of Children and 27 |
---|
58 | 58 | | Families shall have the sole responsibility for all other incidents of 28 |
---|
59 | 59 | | such conveyance. 29 |
