AN ACT CONCERNING VE TERANS' INTERVIEWS FOR FILLING
CERTAIN VACANCIES IN STATE AGENCIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2020) Any veteran, as defined in 1
section 27-103 of the general statutes, who has qualified to appear on a 2
Commissioner of Administrative Services' candidate list for original 3
appointments in accordance with section 5-224 of the general statutes 4
shall be granted an interview during the hiring process for filling 5
original appointment vacancies within state agencies. 6
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
Section 1 October 1, 2020 New section
Statement of Purpose:
To require that all veterans listed on the candidate for original
appointments list by the Commissioner of Administrative Services be
granted an interview when filling original appointment vacancies
