AN ACT CONCERNING LICENSURE OF RESIDENTIAL STAIR LIFT
TECHNICIANS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to create a residential stair lift 1
technician license, and to require individuals installing vertical platform 2
lifts in private residences to obtain such a license. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To promote and facilitate the safe installation of personal stair lifts by
requiring installers of such lifts in private residences to be licensed as
residential stair lift technicians.
