AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TASK FORCE TO STUDY STATE STANDARDIZED TESTING OF STUDENTS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to establish a task force, which 1 consists of certified teachers from school districts of varying 2 demographics and grade levels, to study and develop recommendations 3 concerning the need for state standardized testing and its impact on 4 students. 5 Statement of Purpose: To establish a task force to evaluate all aspects and impacts of state- mandated standardized testing on students, and provide recommendations on ways to improve implementation and methods of measuring student achievement.
