AN ACT CONCERNING PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS FOR
SUPERINTENDENTS OF SCHOOL DISTRICTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 166 of the general statutes be amended to require (1) a 1
local or regional board of education to (A) conduct performance 2
evaluations for the superintendent of schools employed by such board, 3
(B) submit the results of such performance evaluation in writing, and 4
(C) make such results available to the public, and (2) superintendents to 5
complete continuing education contact hours that includes a component 6
on the basics of school building maintenance. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that performance evaluations for superintendents of schools
are completed in a transparent manner.
