AN ACT PROVIDING FLEXIBILITY FOR THE EXPENDITURE OF
ALLIANCE DISTRICT FUNDING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10-262u of the general statutes be amended to permit a 1
local or regional board of education for an alliance district that will 2
experience an increase in the amount of alliance district funding it will 3
receive in the next fiscal year, to utilize up to ten per cent of any such 4
increase in a manner outside of its alliance district plan, provided such 5
board (1) expends such funds in accordance with the provisions of 6
section 10-262i of the general statutes, and (2) increases its local 7
appropriation in an amount equal to such increase for such fiscal year. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To provide boards of education for alliance districts flexibility in how
they utilize and expend their alliance district funds.
