AN ACT REQUIRING CONNECTICUT TO JOIN THE PSYCHOLOGY INTERJURISDICTIONAL COMPACT. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require Connecticut to join 1 the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact and allow (1) a psychologist 2 licensed in a state that participates in the compact to practice telehealth 3 in Connecticut without requiring that the psychologist be licensed 4 under chapter 383 of the general statutes, and (2) a psychologist licensed 5 under chapter 383 of the general statutes to practice telehealth in another 6 state that participates in the compact without requiring that the 7 psychologist be licensed in that state. 8 Statement of Purpose: To provide patients greater access to care, allow licensed psychologists to provide continuity of care as patients relocate to other states and help ensure patients are better protected from harm.
