25 | 25 | Section 1. Section 10-285a of the general statutes is amended by 1 | |
26 | 26 | adding subsection (k) as follows (Effective from passage): 2 | |
27 | 27 | (NEW) (k) The percentage determined pursuant to this section for a 3 | |
28 | 28 | school building project grant, for a school under the jurisdiction of a 4 | |
29 | 29 | local or regional board of education for a municipality that the 5 | |
30 | 30 | Department of Housing has deemed to be an inclusive municipality, 6 | |
31 | 31 | that is approved on or after July 1, 2023, shall be increased by ten 7 | |
32 | 32 | percentage points. As used in this subsection, "inclusive municipality" 8 | |
33 | 33 | means any town that: (1) Has a total population, as defined in section 9 | |
34 | 34 | 10-261, of greater than six thousand; (2) has less than ten per cent of its 10 | |
35 | 35 | housing units determined by the Department of Housing to be 11 | |
36 | 36 | affordable; (3) has adopted and maintained zoning regulations that (A) 12 | |
37 | 37 | promote fair housing, as determined by said department, (B) provide a 13 | |
38 | 38 | streamlined process for multifamily housing of three units or more, (C) 14 | |
