AN ACT FACILITATING THE SUPPLY OF FOOD AVAILABLE AT 
SMALLER, PRIVATE FOOD PANTRIES. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to authorize smaller, private 1 
food pantries to purchase food offered at discounted rates by larger food 2 
banks, including, but not limited to, the Connecticut Food Bank or 3 
Foodshare, to increase the supply of food available to fight hunger. 4 
Statement of Purpose:   
To expand the supply of food available at smaller, private food pantries 
by allowing them to purchase food at discounted rates provided by 
larger food banks.
