1818 AN ACT CONCERNING THE TRUST ACT.
1919 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2020 Assembly convened:

2222 That section 54-192h of the general statutes be amended to repeal the 1
2323 2019 amendments to said section, that protect an individual from being 2
2424 detained subject to a federal immigration detainer who (1) have pending 3
2525 criminal charges, (2) have an outstanding arrest warrant, (3) are 4
2626 identified as a known gang member, (4) are subject to a final order of 5
2727 deportation, or (5) present an unacceptable risk to public safety. 6
2828 Statement of Purpose:
2929 To improve the public safety of the people of Connecticut by allowing
3030 law enforcement to cooperate with federal authorities in the detention
3131 of undocumented persons in the United States who are accused of
3232 serious crimes.
