AN ACT CONCERNING THE SALE AND USE OF CONSUMER GRADE FIREWORKS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to (1) expand the type of 1 fireworks that may be legally sold and used in this state by allowing the 2 sale and use of all consumer fireworks permitted by federal law; (2) 3 require sellers of fireworks to obtain a federal, state and local license to 4 sell fireworks; (3) set the state licensing fee at two thousand five 5 hundred dollars; and (4) allow licensees to sell consumer fireworks only 6 from a permanent structure constructed in compliance with the State 7 Building Code and the State Fire Prevention Code. 8 Statement of Purpose: To permit the sale and use of consumer grade fireworks.
