1818 AN ACT CONCERNING CREDITS OR REIMBURSEMENTS TO
1919 CUSTOMERS OF ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION COMPANIES
2020 FOLLOWING SERVICE OUTAGES.
2121 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2222 Assembly convened:

2424 That section 16-32m of the general statutes be amended to entitle 1
2525 customers of electric distribution companies to a credit or 2
2626 reimbursement, in an amount not to exceed two hundred dollars which 3
2727 cannot be a justification for any rate increase, for food, medicine or other 4
2828 perishable items that expire or spoil due to a service outage lasting more 5
2929 than forty-eight hours. 6
3030 Statement of Purpose:
3131 To entitle customers of electric distribution companies to a credit or
3232 reimbursement for food, medicine or other perishable items due to a
3333 service outage lasting more than forty-eight hours.
