AN ACT INCREASING THE PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS
ASSOCIATED WITH THE NO SALES SOLICITATION CALLS LISTING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. Subsection (k) of section 42-288a of the general statutes is 1
repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective October 2
1, 2022): 3
(k) In addition to any penalty imposed under chapter 735a, any 4
telephone solicitor, who is liable under the provisions of subsections (g) 5
to (i), inclusive, of this section, shall be fined [not more than twenty 6
thousand] not less than five thousand dollars and not more than forty-7
two thousand five hundred thirty dollars for each violation. 8
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
