| 24 | 24 | | Section 1. Section 2-35a of the general statutes is repealed and the 1 |

| 25 | 25 | | following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective October 1, 2021): 2 |

| 26 | 26 | | The joint standing committee of the General Assembly having 3 |

| 27 | 27 | | cognizance of matters relating to government administration, 4 |

| 28 | 28 | | organization and reorganization shall be charged with the duty and 5 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | responsibility of overseeing all government organization and 6 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | reorganization and in particular any transfer, allocation or consolidation 7 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | of any state department or agency. The committee shall [have 8 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | responsibility] be responsible for continuing review of the organization 9 |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | and reorganization of state departments and agencies and may from 10 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | time to time make recommendations to the General Assembly with 11 |

| 35 | 35 | | regard to government organization and reorganization. 12 |

| 36 | 36 | | Sec. 2. Section 4-38j of the general statutes is repealed and the 13 |
