2019 AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE LAWS

2221 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2524 Section 1. (Effective from passage) There is established a working group 1
2625 to study the laws of criminal procedure of this state. Such study shall 2
2726 include, at a minimum, a review of title 54 of the general statutes for the 3
2827 purpose of recommending legislative changes. The working group shall 4
2928 consist of the following members who have expertise in laws of criminal 5
3029 procedure: (1) One appointed by the speaker of the House of 6
3130 Representatives; (2) one appointed by the president pro tempore of the 7
3231 Senate; (3) one appointed by the majority leader of the House of 8
3332 Representatives; (4) one appointed by the majority leader of the Senate; 9
3433 (5) one appointed by the minority leader of the House of 10
3534 Representatives; and (6) one appointed by the minority leader of the 11
3635 Senate. Not later than January 1, 2022, the working group shall submit 12
3736 a report on its findings and recommendations to the joint standing 13
3837 committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters 14
39-relating to the judiciary, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-15 Raised Bill No. 6668
