9-AN ACT CONCERNING THE CONVEYANCE OF A PARCEL OF
10-STATE LAND IN THE TOWN OF WILTON.
14+AN ACT CONCERNING TH E CONVEYANCE OF A PA RCEL OF STATE
15+LAND IN THE TOWN OF WILTON.
1116 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1217 Assembly convened:

14-Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) Notwithstanding any provision
15-of the general statutes, the Commissioner of Transportation shall convey
16-to the town of Wilton a parcel of land located in the town of Wilton, at
17-a cost equal to the administrative costs of making such conveyance. Said
18-parcel of land has an area of approximately 3.15 acres and is identified
19-as the parcel shown as "RELEASE AREA" on a map entitled
20-"Compilation Plan, Town of Wilton, Map Showing Land Released to
21-____ by the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation,
22-Danbury Road (U.S. Route 7), scale 1"=40', October 2019, Mark D. Rolfe,
23-P.E., Chief Engineer-Bureau of Engineering and Construction". The
24-conveyance shall be subject to the approval of the State Properties
25-Review Board.
26-(b) The town of Wilton shall use said parcel of land for purposes of a
27-landscaping business. If the town:
28-(1) Does not use said parcel for said purposes;
29-(2) Does not retain ownership of all of said parcel, other than a sale

31+(b) The town of Wilton shall use said parcel of land for purposes of a 13
32+landscaping business. If the town: 14
33+(1) Does not use said parcel for said purposes; 15
34+(2) Does not retain ownership of all of said parcel, other than a sale 16

34-(3) Leases all or any portion of said parcel, other than a lease for said
35-purposes,
36-the parcel shall revert to the state of Connecticut. Any sale of said parcel
37-shall be at a cost equal to the fair market value of the property, as
38-determined by the average of the appraisals of two independent
39-appraisers selected by the Commissioner of Transportation. Any funds
40-received by the town from a sale of said parcel in accordance with this
41-section shall be transferred to the State Treasurer for deposit in the
42-Special Transportation Fund.
43-(c) The State Properties Review Board shall complete its review of the
44-conveyance of said parcel of land not later than thirty days after it
45-receives a proposed agreement from the Department of Transportation.
46-The land shall remain under the care and control of said department
47-until a conveyance is made in accordance with the provisions of this
48-section. The State Treasurer shall execute and deliver any deed or
49-instrument necessary for a conveyance under this section, which deed
50-or instrument shall include provisions to carry out the purposes of
51-subsection (b) of this section. The Commissioner of Transportation shall
52-have the sole responsibility for all other incidents of such conveyance.
