1818 AN ACT ELIMINATING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE FOR RESIDENTS WHO
1919 ABANDON STATE RESIDENCY.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2323 That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to (1) establish a 1
2424 rebuttable presumption that persons absent from the state for more than 2
2525 thirty days have abandoned state residency for the purpose of public 3
2626 assistance, and (2) eliminate public assistance for such persons. 4
2727 Statement of Purpose:
2828 To prohibit public assistance for persons who leave the state for more
2929 than thirty days.
