| 19 | 19 | | Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) Not later than January 1, 2022, 1 |

| 20 | 20 | | the State Building Inspector and the Codes and Standards Committee 2 |

| 21 | 21 | | shall jointly, with the approval of the Commissioner of Administrative 3 |

| 22 | 22 | | Services and in accordance with the provisions of section 29-252b of the 4 |

| 23 | 23 | | general statutes, revise the State Building Code to require that after such 5 |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | revision, each new construction or substantial renovation of a public 6 |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | building that includes at least one restroom that is open to the public 7 |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | provide on each floor level that is open to the public (1) at least one safe, 8 |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | sanitary and convenient baby diaper changing table that is accessible to 9 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | women and at least one safe, sanitary and convenient baby diaper 10 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | changing table that is accessible to men, or (2) at least one safe, sanitary 11 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | and convenient baby diaper changing table that is accessible to both 12 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | women and men. 13 |
