2828 AN ACT CONCERNING THE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF
2929 CERTAIN DEPICTIONS OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLE AND HISTORICAL

3131 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

3434 That the Joint Committee on Legislative Management be required to 1
3535 (1) remove the statue of John Mason from the exterior of the State 2
3636 Capitol building and place it in the Museum of Connecticut History 3
3737 with recognition of his role in the Pequot massacre, (2) conduct a review 4
3838 of all of the statues located within, or on the exterior of, the State Capitol 5
3939 building, and (3) remove the picture of the indigenous people of 6
4040 Virginia from the underground walkway between the Legislative Office 7
4141 Building and State Capitol building and replace it with a more accurate 8
4242 picture of the state's eastern woodlands tribes, obtained in consultation 9
