AN ACT CONCERNING THE PROVISION OF OUTPATIENT MENTAL 
HEALTH TREATMENT TO MINORS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That section 19a-14c of the general statutes be amended to (1) 1 
eliminate the six-session cap on the provision of mental health treatment 2 
to a minor without the consent, notification or involvement of the 3 
minor's parent or guardian, and (2) permit the minor's parent or 4 
guardian to receive information regarding the provision of mental 5 
health treatment to the minor pursuant to confidentiality guidelines set 6 
forth in the general statutes. 7 
Statement of Purpose:   
To promote the provision of confidential mental health services for 
young people.
