1818 AN ACT CONCERNING A WORK REQUIREMENT FOR YOUNG ADULT
1919 MEDICAID BENEFICIARIES.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2323 That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
2424 Commissioner of Social Services to seek a federal Medicaid waiver that 2
2525 would require Medicaid beneficiaries between the ages of twenty and 3
2626 thirty to work twenty hours weekly without fear of losing Medicaid 4
2727 benefits. 5
2828 Statement of Purpose:
2929 To reduce barriers to employment for young adult Medicaid
3030 beneficiaries who are able to obtain work but fear losing benefits.
