AN ACT CONCERNING A WORK REQUIREMENT FOR YOUNG ADULT 
MEDICAID BENEFICIARIES. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the 1 
Commissioner of Social Services to seek a federal Medicaid waiver that 2 
would require Medicaid beneficiaries between the ages of twenty and 3 
thirty to work twenty hours weekly without fear of losing Medicaid 4 
benefits. 5 
Statement of Purpose:   
To reduce barriers to employment for young adult Medicaid 
beneficiaries who are able to obtain work but fear losing benefits.
