AN ACT CONCERNING TH E DEVELOPMENT OF A C ONNECTICUT 
INDUSTRIAL HISTORY TRAIL. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2021) The Department of 1 
Economic and Community Development shall, within available 2 
appropriations, establish a Connecticut industrial history trail to 3 
identify and market historical industrial sites throughout the state. The 4 
department shall develop criteria to identify major historical industrial 5 
sites, associated companies and museums concerning the state's 6 
industrial history. The department shall develop a program that 7 
promotes the industrial history trail, including, but not limited to, (1) 8 
directional and other signage and notices pertaining to the sites 9 
identified by the department, and (2) an industrial history trail Internet 10 
web site. 11 
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following 
sections:
