2020 AN ACT CONCERNING THE DEFINITION OF EXCUSED ABSENCE
2121 FOR PURPOSES OF REPORTING TRUANCY IN CONNECTICUT.
2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2323 Assembly convened:

2525 That section 10-198b of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
2626 Department of Education to amend the definition of "excused absence" 2
2727 to include (1) any medical absence that is approved by a licensed 3
2828 medical professional, and (2) any absence resulting from participation 4
2929 in a work-study program that is part of a curriculum approved by the 5
3030 local or regional board of education. 6
