LCO No. 4482 1 of 2 General Assembly Committee Bill No. 385 January Session, 2021 LCO No. 4482 Referred to Committee on VETERANS' AFFAIRS Introduced by: (VA) AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF THE INCLUSION OF QUESTIONS RELATING T O VETERAN STATUS ON STATE AGEN CY FORMS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Commissioners of Veteran 1 Affairs and Administrative Services shall conduct a study of the utility 2 of including questions relating to veteran status, that may assist in the 3 identification of and the offering of assistance to veterans, on state 4 agency forms that are to be completed by members of the public. The 5 commissioners shall jointly report, in accordance with the provisions of 6 section 11-4a of the general statutes, the findings of such study to the 7 joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of 8 matters relating to military and veterans' affairs on or before January 1, 9 2022. 10 This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: Section 1 from passage New section Committee Bill No. 385 LCO No. 4482 2 of 2 Statement of Purpose: To require a study of the inclusion of questions relating to veteran status on state agency forms.
