AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR CERTAIN 
PROJECTS ON TRIBAL LANDS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the 1 
issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the 2 
general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate 3 
one million two hundred fifty thousand dollars, the proceeds of which 4 
shall be used by the Department of Energy and Environmental 5 
Protection, with one million dollars of said proceeds used for the 6 
purpose of construction of a community well, a septic system and a road 7 
allowing access to and use of sacred sites on the Eastern Pequot 8 
reservation, and two hundred fifty thousand dollars of said proceeds 9 
used for construction of a retaining wall to remove overflow waters 10 
from a hydro plant near the historical burial grounds of the 11 
Schaghticoke Tribal Nation. 12 
Statement of Purpose:   
To provide funding for upkeep as required on tribal lands.
