1818 AN ACT PROVIDING IMMUNITY FROM CIVIL LIABILITY TO A
1919 PHYSICIAN WHO ACCOMPANIES AND ASSISTS A STATE,
2020 REGIONAL OR MUNICIPAL SWAT TEAM.
2121 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2222 Assembly convened:

2424 That the general statutes be amended to provide that any person 1
2525 licensed to practice medicine and surgery under the provisions of 2
2626 chapter 370 of the general statutes, who, voluntarily and gratuitously 3
2727 and other than in the course of such person's employment or practice, 4
2828 renders emergency medical assistance in connection with the law 5
2929 enforcement duties of a state, regional or municipal special weapons 6
3030 and tactics team, shall not be liable to any person assisted for civil 7
3131 damages for any personal injuries that result from acts or omissions by 8
3232 such physician in rendering emergency medical assistance, which may 9
3333 constitute ordinary negligence. 10
3434 Statement of Purpose:
3535 To provide immunity from civil liability to a physician who
3636 accompanies and assists a state, regional or municipal SWAT team.
