AN ACT ESTABLISHING A CAUSE OF ACTION AGAINST PERSONS
ILLEGALLY DISTRIBUTING DRUGS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that a cause of action 1
shall exist against a person who illegally distributes drugs known to be 2
addictive to another person who suffers from such drugs and later seeks 3
medical services to seek recovery for such losses and other costs and 4
punitive damages. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To provide a legal avenue for those effected by addiction to recoup costs
for medical services and other costs.
