2020 AN ACT CONCERNING RIGHT TO COUNSEL IN SUMMARY
2121 PROCESS PROCEEDINGS.
2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2323 Assembly convened:

2525 That chapter 832 of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
2626 a tenant who is a defendant in a summary process matter and whose 2
2727 total annual income is not greater than seventy-five thousand dollars 3
2828 shall have legal counsel appointed to represent such tenant during the 4
2929 pendency of the summary process matter. 5
3030 Statement of Purpose:
3131 To provide legal counsel to certain eligible tenants in summary process
3232 matters.
