AN ACT CONCERNING STATE STOCKPILES OF PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND DISTRIBUTION TO PUBLIC AND PRIVATE ENTITIES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require that (1) the Division 1 of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, in consultation 2 with the Department of Public Health, shall establish a process to 3 evaluate, provide feedback on, distribute and approve personal 4 protective equipment for use during public health emergencies, (2) six 5 months after the end of a public health emergency, the Commissioner 6 of Public Health establish a stockpile of personal protective equipment, 7 and (3) long-term care providers maintain stockpiles of personal 8 protective equipment. 9 Statement of Purpose: To ensure that stockpiles of personal protective equipment are available in the event of a public health emergency.
