2020 AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF ENFORCEMENT JURISDICTION
2121 ON BODIES OF WATER AND ADJACENT ROADWAYS COVERING
2222 MORE THAN ONE JURISDICTION.
2323 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2424 Assembly convened:

2626 That the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, in 1
2727 conjunction with the Department of Emergency Services and Public 2
2828 Protection, study how to effectively enforce state statutes and 3
2929 regulations on bodies of water and adjacent roadways that cover more 4
3030 than one jurisdiction, including Beach Pond in Voluntown and its 5
3131 surrounding roadways, and make recommendations to the General 6
3232 Assembly regarding any necessary positions to be created, allocations 7
3333 of funding to be adjusted and changes to agency jurisdiction necessary 8
3434 to accomplish such effective enforcement. 9
3535 Statement of Purpose:
3636 To maintain public safety in areas that are covered by more than one
3737 jurisdiction, including Beach Pond in Voluntown.
