AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR CAPITAL 
PROJECTS AT CERTAIN VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENTS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the 1 
issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the 2 
general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate 3 
one million nine hundred thousand dollars, the proceeds of which shall 4 
be used by the Department of Administrative Services for the purpose 5 
of providing (1) a grant-in-aid in the amount of five hundred thousand 6 
dollars to the Baltic Fire Engine Company in the town of Sprague to 7 
repair a retaining wall, parking lot and fence; (2) a grant-in-aid in the 8 
amount of five hundred thousand dollars to the Marlborough Fire 9 
Department to expand the department fire house by one bay; (3) a grant-10 
in-aid in the amount of one hundred thousand dollars to the Occum Fire 11 
Department in the town of Norwich to improve the infrastructure of the 12 
department fire house; and (4) a grant-in-aid in the amount of eight 13 
hundred thousand dollars to the Yantic Fire Company in Norwich to 14 
expand the department fire house by one bay. 15  Proposed Bill No.  638

Statement of Purpose:   
To provide funding for capital projects at certain volunteer fire 
departments.
