1818 AN ACT EXEMPTING CERTAIN VETERANS' BENEFITS FROM
1919 INCOME WHEN DETERMINING ELIGIBILITY FOR STATE MEDICAID

2121 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2222 Assembly convened:

2424 That the general statutes be amended to exempt any federal veterans' 1
2525 benefits, including, but not limited to, basic pension, Aid and 2
2626 Attendance and Housebound benefits, from income when determining 3
2727 eligibility for state Medicaid programs and to authorize the 4
2828 Commissioner of Social Services to exempt such benefits from income 5
2929 eligibility criteria as unreimbursed medical expenses. 6
