920 AN ACT INCREASING RE PRESENTATION ON THE ENERGY
1021 CONSERVATION MANAGEM ENT BOARD.
1122 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1223 Assembly convened:

14-Section 1. Subsection (c) of section 16-245m of the general statutes is
15-repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July 1,
16-2021):
17-(c) The Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection shall
18-appoint and convene an Energy Conservation Management Board
19-which shall include the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental
20-Protection, or the commissioner's designee, the Consumer Counsel, or
21-the Consumer Counsel's designee, the Attorney General, or the
22-Attorney General's designee, and a representative of: (1) An
23-environmental group knowledgeable in energy conservation program
24-collaboratives; (2) the electric distribution companies in whose
25-territories the activities take place for such programs; (3) a state-wide
26-manufacturing association; (4) a chamber of commerce; (5) a state-wide
27-business association; (6) a state-wide retail organization; (7) a state-wide
28-farm association; (8) a municipal electric energy cooperative created
29-pursuant to chapter 101a; [and] (9) residential customers; (10) low-
30-income residential customers; and (11) municipalities. The board shall
31-also include two representatives selected by the gas companies. The Senate Bill No. 856
