28 | 28 | Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2021) Notwithstanding any 1 | |
29 | 29 | provisions of the general statutes, the Commissioner of Veterans Affairs 2 | |
30 | 30 | shall provide veterans who do not have transportation available with 3 | |
31 | 31 | transportation services to and from medical appointments and hospital 4 | |
32 | 32 | visits, which transportation services shall be paid from Medicaid, 5 | |
33 | 33 | Medicare and TriCare funds, to the extent permissible by federal law. 6 | |
34 | 34 | This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following | |
